MUSA-a tale of a stingy monkey
In the middle of the ocean sits a little island, Musa Island. On Musa Island there is the one and only banana tree. A stingy little monkey, Mike, is the only animal that lives there. He is his own king. He owns the banana tree, and the bananas on the tree. One day while Mike is toasting his bananas, the smell attracts Seagull. Seagull wants some bananas as well, but Mike casts him away. Then, a flying fish flies across Musa Island, and steals one of the bananas. Mike is really mad about all that happened, so he starts building a fence around the tree, and pulls over his hammock near the banana tree. Mike sleeps guarded around the tree. |

MALICE is a fantasy fashion film for an imaginary women’s shoe - "the Malice" - born out of a lifelong fascination with Hollywood pole dancers, video games, all things outer space and an instant crush with that magic fantastic L.A. legend called Malice Mcmunn, turned here into the ultimate video game vixen. |
The Girl Who Stole the Night
May lives in a world where there is no light that can shine through the night sky's fabric. People are obligated to close themselves on their homes, so they won't have to face the darkness and, most importantly, be lost in the unknown. Until, there is, May gets curious and lets her window open. From there she observes a little light on the sky. Going after it might result in a big change for the town. |
Obsolescence
Three ghosts, representing three different generations, keep a portrait of themselves as the unique sign left of their own identity after death. Two of the ghosts have an analog portrait (a black and white photography and a painting), while the third one has a digital portrait contained within a computer. Soon they will experience the obsolescence of technology, which will challenge the preservation of memories and data through time. |

Ogris Debris – See The World
Tragic news, internet-meme-randomness, everything comes in through the same channel right next to each other and by scrolling through our timeline we think that we see the world. The music video is a parable to that. Can you see the world? In a motion somewhere between old shoot 'em up game and scrolling the web we fly through a world full of metaphors depicting various topics without being too finger-pointing. |
Sparrow Duet
A series of animated shapes and textures dance together in patterns, suggesting hopping and flying action of birds. The images developed from pastel sketches and visual studies of crows and sparrows, interacting with each other and hopping across the streets, sometimes in pairs. This movement suggested a kind of ballet to me; the birds seemed as if they had rehearsed some sort of formal dance and were performing ritualistically with the others. My animation was inspired by this kind of ballet Pas de Deux structure, with pairs of shapes moving together playfully, then developing into more complex themes and variations. The original music score was composed and performed by Gary Chang. |
