ON ARISING
Inspired by global warming, ON ARISING Is a dance film/tone poem exploring the dynamics of a Primitive Community awakening to discover their interconnectedness.
On their way to reach a “higher place” in themselves and collectively, they explore
several group strategies to ARISE. Each effort fails to achieve group cohesion or individual
expression. Only through the Super Efforts and support of one (Silver Girl) is a new sense of Unity and Collaboration experienced. The Feminine principal enlightens all.
Committing to individual responsibility, freedom is achieved through work on oneself and within a group of like minded people, through super efforts they find unity in the end and are able to effect positive change and stop global warming.
ARISEN
ARISEN is a 3D Underwater Dance, here presented first in 2D. I am the Director/Cinematographer/Choreographer. This is a movie about hope. Consider ARISEN like your life…a three-act play. The life sentence happened early in the first act, fallen angels struggling to survive, like us all. Man, woman, woman, woman, man, man in adversity and love what are you, what works for you? Do we intrinsically know how to relate? What is community building in the 21st Century? Fruitless struggle achieves nothing, yet only super efforts count. In the face of Global Climate Change and rising tides we endure.
Not Phillip And I
Everyone has a way of dealing with grief. As does Sylvia, who has just lost her beloved pet. She is down on her luck, exhausted from failed dreams and a string of broken relationships. She returns home as most broken hearts do to find themselves again, and to try to heal. But she soon realizes that even her own home is slipping away from her. She finds some old family footage of a time when things were easier, which causes her to handle her current situation in a slightly different way than she had imagined.
