It is the story of an indescribable hazard and a singular fortune: the fortune of being a human. This is macro cinematography from terracollage. Organic FX means household ingredients and ink. A unique short experimental remix of 15 vlog episodes, originally posted on youtube, based upon a reflexion on identity, manipulation, truth and beauty, that blurs popular influences with performance video and video art processes and ideas. Self-representation document made with a DIY spirit and a urge to work on basic communication principles, such as the confrontation between the artist and the viewer and speech awareness. The audiovisual manipulations function mainly as an expression of repressed emotions in the context of a confessional aesthetics. This is a remixed version of the original video: "anexperimentalviralvlog the movie", 2015, which continuous to be the first autonomous work that appropriates the material I posted on my youtube vlog. |

IAmVertical takes a contemporary approach to Sylvia Plath’s poem titled “I Am Vertical”. It challenges stereotypical ideas of depression and emotional vulnerability. Her depression is represented through beautiful imagery as she personifies herself to the natural world. However, she feels the acceptance of eventual death and agony of staying alive. The violence’s situations are not isolated, they are systematically repeated against analleged provocation, a no reason, developing an almost invisible and scavenging plot, which is highly dangerous. Threaten, tension, sutil violence moves forward her and then come to rest, waiting the next attack. The assailan tintentionally isolates the victim, holds in its stormy mental domains , to prevent anyone can make him see what is happening. To be self recognized as a victim is a process that involves the first step to escape from that trap. The way out is the word , the suit, the verbalization of the fact .
