In Ribbons
It is 1968, and in a silent room, Laurie, aged 5, surrounded by her dolls and toys, waits for her father to return home. Elated by the gift of the new clothes that he brings her, she especially loves the brightly-coloured ribbons that he ties into her long hair. In anticipation of going outside, she dresses excitedly in the bright new clothing, beaming with happiness. Laurie’s father is taking her on a journey; to a destination that is within walking-distance from her house, yet is a place that is far from home… |
'love'
A short film following the lives of 14 year old Kate and her family, friends. Made for the Microbudget Filmmaking: Fiction module of the University of Kent, following a self-imposed set of rules (point-and-shoot cinematography, no artificial lights etc.) in order to make an understated, realist piece about growing up. |

When the family leaves for the holidays, Doris is put in charge of the embittered and bigoted Grandpa. Symptoms
Decades into the future, mankind makes contact with an extraterrestrial species. Confused and afraid, countries around the world wage wars against them. A large wall is built around cities, which have accepted the status quo. |
I'LL WALK WITH GOD
I’LL WALK WITH GOD is a musical drama about a former opera star from America for whom La Bohème and My Fair Lady could not feed his God-given spirituality. His father’s homeland has taken him and his family to England – and to the priesthood. But the trendy, go-getting Rev Jim Watson will always sing. It is what he does best and is as natural to him as breathing. He sings at charity events, church fetes and local concerts. In his parish he is known as “The Singing Vicar”. Along the way, after meeting Emma Crawford at the local allotment that is his distraction and her therapy, things will never be as they once were for them or for Jim’s actress daughter, Holly. |
Aytch Eff
This drama on the themes of bullying and revenge depicts the story of a family man that is brought to face his old memories of being bullied at school, revived when he sees his own son become the victim of his schoolmates. He decides to establish and follow his own therapy by seeking revenge on those who terrorised him as a child. He tracks each of them down and terminates them, then meticulously makes the bodies disappear in his own house. His appetite for revenge only ends with the destruction of the bully who he thinks has been at the heart of his son's misery all along. To his dismay, he realises his mistake too late upon his son confronting him with the truth. |
There aren't any trees here
We forget, and all along our life we are seeking what we have forgotten. Searching, we create. My short “There aren’t any trees here“ is the answer to the question: ”What gives life to our creation?“ An underwater answer, a reply coming from the profound history of our prenatal life. The sound of generations. There are words and no words, there are shared dimensions running alongside, universal standards and particular ones. “ There aren’t any trees here“ is the memory of an immersion even before anything comes into existence.
