Police Detective Joe Barbaro is assigned a highly dangerous case to put infamous mafia boss, Carlo Falcone, behind bars.Alberto Clemente has just been laid to rest. The mafia family are waiting to find out who is going to be the main beneficiary of the proceeds of a lifetime of crime. But the Will turns out to be a fake, made by Barbaro’s team, and stealthily planted for Mrs. Clemente to find. The fake Will states Clemente’s accumulated wealth is to be left to his three closest associates, Vito Scaletta, Frank Vinci and Carlo Falcone, and further divided out amongst any blood relation who dares to attend the funeral. This is where Barbaro comes in, disguised as Clemente’s nephew. The gangsters are surprised when the Will is read. It states that the gangster’s wealth will be allocated to the winner of a good old game of cards. There will be twist where it will turn out that the narrator be Mr. Clemente who was thought to be dead.

The film is about a first encounter between two housemates. The characters are both students in their 20s, coming from different countries. One is from Malta and the other is from China. Since moving in Kyle hasn’t met all his housemates yet and after a full day spent at university he gets home and goes into the kitchen to make dinner. There he meets his Chinese housemate and introduces himself. When she mumbles her name he cannot understand her so she writes it down. He can’t figure out her writing either and reads out loud “Wen King”. He soon realises what he said and the girl just shakes his hand and shoots off. When he takes another look at what she wrote he figures out that the ‘K’ was in fact a ‘T’ and that her name is ‘Wen Ting’. At this point he just wonders whether she was offended or not only to find her pig's feet defrosting on his cupboard the following day.

The film traces his struggle to overcome guilt and attain closure on that incident. The film also serves as a message to all of us who are trapped in our own past, that our story isn't over yet and things will change for the good. Just like an author who could've ended the sentence, but chooses not to by using a semicolon.
