Herman Hetz is a retired 65 year man who wakes up to find an unexploded bomb in his garden. He rings 911, the Emergency Services operator asks him his name and problem. Herman’s name is red flagged as a ‘pest’ and a ‘time-waster’. Herman pleads his case but the operator Pauline reels off a series of complaints Herman has made over the past two years that included a Pig flying around his chimney, a Ferris Wheel in his backyard and now an unexploded Bomb. Pauline points out to Herman that his call is being monitored for him to desist or legal action would be taken. Herman continues to plead that there is a bomb in his yard but Pauline is able to rid herself of Herman’s rudeness through standard Emergency Services protocol |
