Be a new thought Totem Creative, an animation studio based in Mumbai, India, collaborated with Oxfam (India) to tackle the still persistent issues of gender injustice, specifically in the Indian society through the medium of animation. In many parts of our society still, gender stereotypes are deeply rooted in the mindset; where women are discriminated against men in their everyday lives. ‘BANO NAYI SOCH’ is a call to action with a simple yet powerful message. Highlighting pressing issues like girl-child abortions, right to education, domestic violence, public harassment, and gender discrimination, it reflects on this very mentality and urges people to make a change. To gain a new perspective. To view Men and Women alike in the same light. Only then can we hope for a better world. |
